Resolving the recent upgrade issues using McAfee Consumer Products

This document explains how to address problems associated with recent upgrades set up by McAfee. To fix issues such as interrupted online access, problems with updating and more, you must run the McAfee Virtual Technician, that can scan the body to diagnose and fix your own McAfee installation.
In conducting this application doesn't resolve your issues, please follow the steps in Option two below to execute the McAfee Removal Tool (MCPR2.exe), and then reinstall your McAfee products.
Note: This tool is not suitable for Microsoft Windows 98 or ME.

- Download and operate the McAfee Virtual Tech
- To download the McAfee Virtual Technician, go to
- in the event you receive a"File download security warning", click Yes.
- Click Open to launch McAfee Virtual Technician.
- Sometimes, you could well be prevented by restarting your personal computer as an installment is in progress. Please make sure you restart your computer after the installation is complete.

Download and execute on the McAfee Removal instrument
- To install the removal tool, go to

- Click Save to get the document to some location on your PC.
- Demand place where the file was stored.
- Ensure all McAfee application windows have been all closed.
- Double-click MCPR2.exe to conduct the removal tool.
- Restart your computer if prompted. Your McAfee services and products will not be fully removed before you restart.
- All McAfee products are now removed from your PC.
- Re-Install your McAfee Products
